Explaining Jesus to a Hindu
(From KB, 2/01) It seems to me that he is searching for freedom through knowledge. I might begin by talking about his search for knowledge, and then mention that he believes that knowledge will set him free. Then I might say something like, “I know that you are seeking to know God. You believe that the knowledge of God will set you free. We also seek to know God. In our scripture we have a saying. It goes like this. ”You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” ” Would you like to know about the truth that can make you free?
