Your conversation will flow more smoothly as you learn more about personality types so that you know how to draw people out and get to the bottom of their thinking.
I am grateful to my friend Art Germann for introducing me to five personality types recognized in the sales training provided by Monsanto/DuPont.
Those five types are:
1. Wants tangible information to digest in order to understand
2. Don’t confuse me with the facts
3. Blend of 1 &amd 2
4. I am completely happy the way things are.
5. Everyone’s friend, but the best friend is the last friend that he or she talked to.
One should keep in mind that there may be additional types but, generally speaking these five types are more common in personal encounters.
Each of the five requires a different kind of conversational approach.
